Funnel seeks to improve the quality of life for San Francisco Bay Area communities by supporting nonprofit organizations which are doing critical work to address the roots of social, economic, and environmental injustice. These nonprofit organizations serve a mosaic of diverse communities in the area, addressing problems specific to their constituencies as well as issues that face the area as a whole.

Funnel prioritizes funding organizations that involve their constituency in all stages of program development and problem solving. We are interested in organizations that demonstrate effective advocacy for their constituency, and that are grounded in a strong political vision. At Funnel, we seek diversity in our grantmaking, funding groups working throughout the Bay Area on a variety of issues.
